South East London ENT Partnership Shortlisted for National HSJ Award
South East London ENT Partnership Shortlisted for National HSJ Award
The partnership brings together Communitas Clinics, NHS South East London, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, primary care teams and diagnostic partners to deliver more joined-up care for local residents.
By introducing a Single Point of Referral, shared clinical triage and standardised care pathways, the partnership has created a more integrated approach to care across organisational boundaries.
The programme has delivered significant improvements for patients and the wider health system, including:
- A 33% reduction in ENT waiting lists
- More than 2,000 fewer patients waiting over 52 weeks
- 82% of care delivered in community settings closer to home
- More than 17,300 acute hospital appointments released annually
These improvements have helped patients access care more quickly while ensuring hospital services remain available for those with the most complex needs.
“Being shortlisted for Provider Collaboration of the Year is a fantastic achievement and reflects the dedication of colleagues across all our partner organisations. This recognition demonstrates what can be achieved when organisations work together to improve services for patients. We are proud of the impact this partnership has had across South East London and delighted to see the work recognised nationally.”
The HSJ Awards are among the most respected awards in UK healthcare, celebrating innovation and excellence across the NHS and wider health sector.
The South East London ENT Partnership was shortlisted from more than 1,300 entries submitted this year. Winners will be announced at the HSJ Awards ceremony on 19 November 2026.
